From little things

Many many years ago I wrote a blog. I loved writing my blog, and even now when I read back through it, it reminds me of what my life was about back then. Like a scrapbook, but online. Then Facebook came along and blogging sort of died back. I embraced FB jumped on board finding old school friends, following artists I admire, posting terrible photos of my family doing super ordinary things, but, somewhere along the way I realised that FB for me was all about other people. Following other people, commenting on other peoples opinions, looking at other peoples art, projects and lifestyles.

It also became super addictive! Every morning wake up to see what other people are doing on FB, every evening jumping back in to see what I missed. Then I started curating what I posted, making sure it was internet worthy 🙁 instead of posting about my life, I was altering my life to have something to post about. Why?

Then I had a little thought, what if I just stopped. I have unfollowed so many accounts on FB since then, I am a member of a few groups that I keep up with because the content is something I love, but otherwise my FB presence is really scaled back. Then that little thought grew into a little musing about going back to blogging.

So here we are.

Welcome.
